Attorney Kurt F. Easton, Sr., is a Marine Corps veteran who has worked in multiple fields of law, but primarily in Family Law and Criminal Defense/Traffic. Attorney Easton joined the Marine Corps immediately after graduating high school and served from 2001 – 2005 including a deployment to Iraq in 2003 before his Honorable Discharge in 2005. Attorney Easton is a Golden Shellback and was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal (2 Bronze Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, et al. Attorney Easton is licensed to practice law in Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, as well as the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia. Attorney Easton received his Juris Doctor degree from Regent University School of Law in 2015. He has been licensed to practice law since 2015 and has worked for Federal and State government in addition to private practice. Attorney Easton is a member of the Virginia Beach Bar Association and primarily works throughout all of Hampton Roads, but he does take on select cases as far as Richmond and Northampton County. For his first job out of Law School, Attorney Easton worked for Department of Homeland Security; U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where he worked under the Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures Officer and dealt mostly with federal laws and regulations as well as Civil Asset Forfeiture in conjunction with other Federal Agencies. Attorney Easton then worked for the Newport News Public Defender Office where he worked on the Juvenile Domestic Relations Court team and dealt exclusively in Newport News Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court and Circuit Court representing Juvenile and Adult criminal defense clients during his employment there. Working with Guardian ad Litems and other Family Law Attorneys in mutual cases during his employment here is where Attorney Easton’s interest was piqued into moving into the civil side of law, namely Family Law. Attorney Easton then moved to the Tidewater area and worked for multiple law firms that focused primarily in Family Law and Criminal Defense/Traffic. Attorney Easton has continued to succeed, whether he works with no legal staff, or while being in charge of multiple legal teams at his previous firms. Attorney Easton enjoys being in the courtroom and getting his clients great outcomes. Attorney Easton has since decided to create “Easton Law Group PLLC” to utilize his unique background of experiences.
